The Process
Upon receipt of your application form, you will receive a confirmation email detailing the submission process for your book evaluation.
Your submission will be reviewed by at least 3 evaluators with the most relevant expertise relating to the books theme. Author names are not disclosed to evaluators throughout this process.
The assessment procedure involves a combination of a scorecard and open feedback system. Results are typically determined within a 7-14 day timeframe.
The final decision will be approved by the Head Evaluator and CEO.
Notification of the outcome will be sent to applicants via email.
The
Team
The magical team is made up of qualified childcare practitioners, preschool teachers, early years professionals,award-winning authors, illustrators and professional writers with a vast knowledge of the book industry.
ELIGIBILITY
We will consider children's books that are suitable for readers aged newborn to YA.
We accept published, self-published books and unagented writers, eBooks, audiobooks, comic books, poetry books and short stories. We do not have a word count restriction or a publication date requirement, which means it does not matter when your book was published. We are an international competition, but your work must be sent in English.

We accept applications year round and will usually share an outcome within 2 weeks of receiving your book, some longer stories may extend this timeframe, applicants will be updated if this is the case. You will be given full instructions on how to provide your book for evaluation upon completion of your online application.
We are unable to return paperbacks, but, do our best to donate appropriately upon completion of the evaluation process.
